Beschreibung

Morgoth's Ring, der zehnte Band von The History of Middle-earth enthält detaillierte Texte und Kommentare von Christopher Tolkien zu Tolkiens Kosmologie und zur Entwicklung seiner Mythologie. Viele dieser Texte flossen schließlich in das veröffentlichte Silmarillion ein.

Der Band ist in fünf Abschnitte unterteilt. Er enthält die Ainulindalë, einschließlich einer Runde-Welt-Fassung), die Annalen von Aman, die spätere Quenta Silmarillion, die Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth, ein Gespräch zwischen Finrod und Andreth und weitere Mythen und Texte.
