Enthor ist im Legendarium ein Mensch. Er ist mit Hiril aus dem Haus Haleth verheiratet.
Beschreibung
Enthor war mit Hiril aus dem Haus Haleth, dem zweiten der drei Häuser der Edain, verheiratet. Sie hatten eine Tochter namens Meleth. Seine Frau war die Tochter Halmirs, des Oberhaupts des Hauses Haleth, und lebte in Brethil.[1][2]
Über das Leben von Enthor und Hiril ist nur bekannt, dass Hunthor und Manthor ihre Nachkommen waren.[4][5][6]

Werkgeschichte
In einer früheren Phase der Entwicklungsgeschichte war Enthor der jüngere Bruder von Hunthor und Manthor sowie Anführer der Wachen bei Brithiach. In einer späteren Version wurde Enthor durch Ebor ersetzt, der als Gefolgsmann Manthors dargestellt wird. Ebor bezeichnete Manthor nicht mehr als seinen Bruder, sondern als „my lord“.[7]
