The Eagle and Child ist ein Pub, in dem sich J.R.R. Tolkien zwischen den 30er und 60er Jahren immer Dienstags mit den Inklings im Rabbit Room traf.
Von J.R.R.Tolkien und C.S. Lewis wurde der Pub gewöhnlich nur "The Bird and the Baby" genannt
